There are parallels between the arguments I was part of about the Hugo Awards and those I've often had with Libertarians.  I have a philosophical position that is humans should have a right to breathable air, clean water, food, shelter, healthcare and education.  Especially in a society that is rich enough to provide those things to all the people living there.  I'll also be completely clear I have no idea how we get there...

Today, I came across a position which basically could be described as believing you have a right to earn money.  The thing is, that's one you don't really have.  The right to pay would be an interesting one indeed or even the right to a paying job would be a very interesting one indeed and I am sure you'd find a lot of socialists behind you in that.  Marxists even.

So we established they were one of those libertarians who hasn't thought much about what they believe.  They're in good company.

Just got rear-ended by a taxi.

VERY ANNOYING.

Worst still the driver took my driving license details and I didn't realize until I got home that he hadn't given it back to me.
