Calling James Nicoll

james_nicoll was wondering about Scott Lowder, former peer of Rand Simberg and Jordon Bassior on newsgroups.

Well, I came across this...  He's essentially doing some of the same stuff as he always has but without the added dodgy politics.

There's a picture doing the rounds on the Facebooks of a 'suspect' sought by the Boston investigation team.  It's a guy holding a backpack that looks heavy.

Thing is.  According to Snopes it's not actually an official picture, it's something by 'helpful' citizens who have been looking at public images that have been put up.  Now that's not to say he isn't one of the terrorists, but I really really wish people would check their source data before sharing crap like that because it doesn't help anybody.  Especially with what happened to the poor bastard they railroaded for the Atlanta Olympics bombings.

So, before you click share, please double check what you're sharing is actually real.
