Jan. 5th, 2012 09:35 amDay dawned rather wet and wild, but I had to run M into work and take the dogs to the Vet while conducting a conference call. Yes, I can multitask.
Fortunately there's a fairly amazing and authentic French bakery over the road from the vet where a croissant which tasted like a croissant rather than a bread roll could be had with a nice espresso.
Headed home to carry on with CES planning... which is slowly getting done.
Got myself to the gym and had my first swim in... er... er... I really can't remember the last time I swam for exercise. It was much harder than I remember. Swimming was about the only sport I had any degree of competence at. For a couple of years I swam semi-competitively for my county, which involved training 6 days a week... so having been used to at least swimming at least a 1000m without having a problem, it was a little weird to struggle to the 500m mark.
Never mind, I'll try again later today and see if I can get back to my 1500m in 30 minutes which was my usual standard of being moderately fit.
Got home, cooked dinner and chilled.
Where does the time go?
