Interesting to find out that Rick (Google him please!) Santorum is a Catholic.  Especially given his position on things like healthcare and so on.  Coming from a catholic upbringing, most of the priests I ever spent time with were pretty big on the need for a social safety net and things like that...  I find it interesting that he can manage to come across as Conservative and appeal to the Tea Party and completely ignore all the stuff that'd I'd peg as core catholic values.

I suppose that American Catholic culture is more right wing than the equivalent Irish/British culture - although, my own parents were pretty damn conservative, it does show the stark differences between what counts as conservative in the US versus other places.

First real day back at work and realizing we've 4 days to do about 10 days worth of work.  I also didn't sleep very well, which is highly unusual for me.  I suspect the two are related.  Basically it's the run up to CES, and we've got a lot of stuff to deliver and have ready for the event.  Then there's the cat herding activity that is getting meetings lined up for an event like this.

I'm trying not to kill myself at this event, and at the moment I've only got about 8 meetings lined up, 1 of which is super critical, the others vary in their value.  There's also some big networking things I need to do with a list of people I want to collar.

In addition to that, I got some invoicing done.

Apart from that the dogs got walked, and I manage to book a trip to the vet for the puppy.

Took the puppy into the Vet for her annual check up... Firstly, *ouch*, that's a quick $200...  Secondly, well, to be honest, there isn't really a second.  She's in great shape.  Right weight for her size, everything looked good, lots of energy and all the stuff that assure vets that you're a good parent and all that.

It's ridiculous really how much pride I got from being told by somebody that I know how to look after a dog, but there you go.  I think she's happy with us too.  Hard to tell, at the moment she's curled up next to me asleep.

I also took Tyson to visit the vet.  It's hard to believe that it's been 7 months since his FCE, but I wanted the vet to see him, as he was very worried when we took him in.  Tyson is a changed dog now.  He still has a slight limp on his front right paw but he's full of energy and unless you know to look for it, you'd not really notice it.  The vet was happy to see him and took some time out to have a look at him walking and have a play with him.  As he said, it's a really scary thing to have happen to the dog and the owners and he's happy to have a story like this he can tell people when they have the same thing.

Anyway, nice to have a clean bill of health.
