Quick Thoughts...
Nov. 2nd, 2011 07:52 am1) The Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone is pretty damn good. Couple of rough edges... the lack of decent apps is still a problem, but I think, a self correcting one. Lack of front facing camera is annoying. Probably not quite enough for me to replace my iPhone - but I suspect that unless the iPhone 5 is amazing, my next phone will be a Nokia Windows Phone.
2) I've cut the cord with Qwest aka Century Link was finding out that the last mile of "copper" from my house to the exchange was, in fact, lead... Comcast are coming on Sunday which could mean a painful day of mucking around with my home network. I've opted for the 15MB package, because I'm just not prepared to pay as much as they want for more.
3) iTunes over WiFi came as a surprise... but it seems to work. Although it did BSOD my laptop... hard to say if that was iTunes or something else. This laptop is seriously on its last legs so anything could have caused it
4) Work. Well, we have options for a path forward, but there's a LOT to be done over the next few months - I'll probably post on this in more detail
5) Health - really back to eating better after a few months of poor food and too much drink. We've also joined a nicer/newer and nearer gym.
Right. Back to the grindstone.
