You buy a flight for 50p
Sep. 27th, 2011 01:38 pmWell, not quite. But I've been sorting out travel for my annual pilgrimage to Barcelona for Mobile World Congress and I was looking at flight options. Getting to London has proven pretty straight forward. I'm flying United again, as the cheapest option by a fairly significant margin. But typically I use Easyjet for the Barcelona flights.
Obviously, other people are getting on that band-wagon. To whit: once I've added in sane boarding and luggage to my ticket, the price for the trip on Easyjet came in at 150quid, however, that involves getting my arse out to Luton. Not something that's all that easy from where my family live.
However, looking at BA, I can get to Barcelona, for 130Quid, including luggage and an assigned SEAT!
So, BA gets it. I'll need to fly to BCN on Saturday, but we're renting an apartment again, which means that we've got to be there for a week anyway. So I will get an extra night in Barcelona and have a chance to get passes and the like the day before the madness starts.
Now, fingers crossed we get the apartment that we have our eyes on, it's within easy walking distance of the event which was a godsend last year.
