So I realised today that I couldn't actually stream a YouTube video I was trying to watch.  So I shuffle off to Speed Test and  lo! 1.2MBs... which about 25% of what I pay for.

So I call Qwest, who put me into support hell.

Qwest: We're running a modem test.  We're showing we have 4000MBs speed.
Me: Between your test server and my modem?
Qwest: Yes
Me: What about from your test server to the internet?
Qwest: Have you tried another phone jack?
Me: Have you run a systems test of the throughput through your local switch since it crapped out all day Wednesday?
Qwest: We recommend you try another phone jack and filter...
Me: Why?  You're telling me that I'm getting 4.1MBs from here to your internal network...  the problem isn't here is it?
Qwest: We can send somebody to check your line...
Me: But my line isn't a problem is it if I can see Qwest.com at 4.1MBs and THE REST OF THE FRACKING INTERNET AT 1MB?
Qwest: Let me book the service call
Me: *sigh*
Qwest: Oh, I can't do that at the moment, the system is down
Me:  I have to go and hurt somebody now
Qwest: Please call back later...

I need to lie down in a dark room....
