Stonehenge Apocalypse - SyFy
Jun. 13th, 2010 02:13 pmI remarked last night that I was planning to watch a movie about Stonehenge on SyFy and pondered how long it would be before they had a long shot of mountains in the background of Salisbury Plain.
About 25 seconds it would seem.
Now, I used to drive to the office via a route which took me past Stonehenge, and I don't recall any white peaked mountains at the time.
I'm also noticing the distinct lack of the A303 in the background which runs about 20 metres from the monoliths.
I mean, seriously, perhaps a LITTLE research SyFy?

Seriously, I'm assuming you're filming in Canada - you couldn't find a couple of actual Brits?
Oh, and here's the LINK.
EDIT: Salisbury Plain Primary School? Oh yes. This just gets better and better.
Oh, and here's Elizabeth Weir trying to do an English Accent.
I think I might have to pause and go and clear the garden now.
EDIT2: Hero arrives in a black cab - because everybody takes London Black Cabs to Salisbury Plain from Heathrow. Actually I know somebody who did but it was 300quid.

Busy Day...
Jun. 13th, 2010 04:31 pmWell, in a fit of activity today I trimmed most of the garden hedges, which was long overdue, to put it like this, the satellite dish had almost vanished.
So that was done. I got in some shopping, and then moved and cleaned the BBQ. The later job ending up as a 2 hour marathon as the injectors on the burner ring had got clogged and needed individually cleaning. Anyway, it's now burning off the clean and working much better than it did last summer. So that's a plus.
I've now retired to the sofa to watch "Shredders" which is an awesomely bad movie.

There's True Blood Season 3 later and some really, really trashy reality TV.
