I was going to go home early today on account of having a sh1t load to do. Whoops.

Need to do some washing and get a handle on the packing for the next 2 weeks. I only want to travel with carry on luggage, which, for 2 weeks, is something of a fine art. Especially as one outfit will have to be a suit - damn those Asians and their formality!!!!

I'm flying Business Class - first time I've actually had a proper trip booked in a proper way, gosh I feel grown up - which means the carry on allowance is not an issue - but the logistics are still enormous. I'll certainly have to have some washing done somewhere by someone.

It looks like we're taking 15 people from various offices to the workshops next week. I keep telling people that it's software - we can do anything... Apparently that isn't quite true.

Done a load of washing, put the recycling out, watched part 2 of "The Fourth Horseman" from Stargate SG1 - good start to the second half of a wishy washy season although I didn't like the Deus Ex Machina style ending.

Just finished taking advantage of the 5p listing day on eBay to put a bunch of stuff up for sale prior to the move. I've scheduled it to come on in a few days while I'm travelling and complete when I get back. I'll see how this batch goes and then do some more.

Heard, finally, from the solicitor who cleared up my remaining questions. The loft is covered in the lease, I just missed it and we can do what we like as long as the leaseholder says ok. They have written to the lease holder on our behalf to clear the final point. The estate agent is getting a quote for the work the survey came up with and we'll probably settle on a price reduction which will clear the way to the final contract

All being well we can exchange during the first week of Feb and move in by the middle of the month! Yay! New home!!!

We're probably going to have a Freezer to sell and either a nearly new washing machine (Hotpoint) or a nearly new Washer Dryer - depending on if we can fit ours in the fitted kitchen. Shout if you're looking for either of these otherwise they'll be straight onto eBay.

We're probably going to get rid of our 3 piece suite too. It won't fit in the flat, at least not sensibly, which is a shame as it's very comfortable. But it is getting a little old. I'm happy to let a good home pick it up if it wants it.
