Boeing! Boeing!
Dec. 17th, 2005 01:02 pmBack in London, waiting to catch up with M who is flying down to Frankfurt with me.
Slept ok on the flight, although I have had just about enough of BA's inflight entertainment system. I'm sure at some point in the 90s it was cool technology but it is frankly an embarassment that our nation's flag carrier has a system which looks like it feel off the back of a market stall. 4 of the 18 channels were basically unwatchable last night when they finally got the damn thing running (90 minutes into the flight).
I tried watching Wallace and Grommitt but the sound track kept jumping, so I watch a scratched copy of War of the Worlds.
BA - you must do better on this stuff!
They're also falling behind on inflight services - Lufthansa and SAS now run broadband WiFi in the cabin at a not entirely unreasonable $25 for a flight. Apparently Skype runs pretty well across it too.
