London Town
May. 13th, 2004 09:51 amHad business to go in London yesterday and off I went to do it. In the evening I met up with Ryan and his SO Yukuon who's Korean and we got chatting about many things including how bland British food was and wasn't Korean food spicy.
Well, actually, no.
So we decided to round the evening off with a curry and wait for M to join us. By this stage Ryan and I were getting a lot of grief about bland food, so I ordered...
Well, I thought I gave a balanced introduction and ordered the following dishes:
Chicken Tikka Massala
Garlic Chilli Chicken
Saag Bhaji
Mushroom Bhaji
Rice
A couple of Nanns
And, almost forgot the Lamb Phall.
That might have been a curry too far. To demonstrate her steely reserve she served up a huge amount of the Phall and set about it with great gusto... For all of about 35 seconds at which point she conceeded that there were spicier things than Korean food.
As it happens I quite liked the Phall, but it was insanely hot. Certainly as hot as the one that I watched
pmcray eat a couple of years ago.
After that I met up with M, (she had Garlic Chilli Lamb) and we went off to Paddington and home. Her women in consulting event was apparently excellent and she's got loads of interesting contacts. Apparently she's also got meetings this week with a number of potential clients in the telco space here in Bath, so it looks like I've married a Management Consultant. Yay. Now she needs a larger client base and I can spend all day at home writing.
