daveonI got married quite young, I met C at university and then were married at 24. We were divorced by 28. Thing is, prior to getting together with C I can't say I had much success with women, I was awkward, a bit shy and generally didn't do too well. No, really, it's true, I know you're shocked. Anyway, after a year of being a basket case where I joined a gym, gave up drinking and lost 20kgs, I found out that presentable 30 year olds with psycho ex-wives are kinda hot. I had a great year before meeting and settling down with M.
Anyway, I say this because one of the side effects of nearly getting bought, feels similar. It's a little frustrating, we've another cashflow crunch coming due to taking our eye of the sales ball but apart from that things are pretty rosy. We keep getting more leads into the sales pipeline. We've been asked to bid and propose for several significant pieces of work using our technology and yesterday we started the early steps of due diligence for a sale to a giant of the global tech industry. No, not the one you just thought of, another one.
So... I'm just back to the grindstone doing all the general sales stuff I wasn't doing while we were being sold. I'm just frustrated that we lost a quarter, it might just turn out to be a good thing.
