My goodness.  One thing about having a hyperactive 1 year old Lab is how your days get "bigger".

He likes to have his first pee of the day around 6.30am - well, who doesn't?  After that he does like to get moving.  We managed to lie in until around 8.30 this morning when eventually the need for a walk and to get onto chores dragged us up.

A nice walk, followed by a trip to Costco, then Dog Obedience training followed by a trip to Petsmart for for indestructible toys (yeah, right) and now home finished the unpacking from the old office so I don't have to do it when I get home from Vegas.

Still to do: Pack and bitch about the seat allocation on Alaska tomorrow.  You know given I've flown 14,000 miles with them so far this year you'd think that they could do better than a middle seat in the last row.  (I've moved to a middle near the front, but still...)

Finally...  the sinking realisation is dawning that we need to be a two car household and one of them needs to be more dog proof than my Honda :(

Ho. Seatbelts are quite expensive, aren't they? (Nellie munched her way through a few once when we unwisely left her briefly in the car unsupervised). That said, the biggest dog-related expenses have been
a) vet fees (though I am happy to say that PetPlan appear to have coughed up without demur for Harvey's recent fourfigure trip to the orthopaedic specialists in sunny Swindon. It is not that we wouldn't have been able to afford it but as last year was so very, very expensive...)
b) dogsitters (we have always had the decrepit or neurotic hounds that you wouldn't want to sling in kennels, and none of the family are able to take 'em in). Of course now there are pet passports, but the thing about being able to take your dog(s) with you is that then you are there with your dog (s)...
c) replacing the livingroom carpet with a wood floor. After the fortnight spent housetraining a dog with separation anxiety which made her pee all the time the carpet never really recovered...
