Maryse has 2 sort of offers.  One for the Canadian consultancy saying they'd like to start the negoitation process and an email from MS saying they've almost finished the reference process but have a problem because its the end of the fiscal year and open headcount for FY08 is under review before they can offer.

I've actually seen this many times with MS so I don't see it as a major issue, but for crying out loud can we just close this now???

MS HR process grinds way slower than it ought to. It just does. Maybe it's better at the higher grades, but mostly, too much of the process is dependent on people who are not HR specialists and have plenty of other stuff to do and so it tends to languish.

That's my observation, anyway.
