So, what I have done to myself...

I went to see a Doctor last night and the long and short of it is, I apparently have a Bursitis aka Tenis Elbow, almost certainly caused by my typing position.

I've some anti-biotics for the infection and some anti-inflamatories for the pain.

Ugh...  not nice at all.

Having had a most painful bout of this back around 1988 -- which ended in my having to have surgery on the elbow, because it was caught too late -- let me just run down the list of things that worked best for my pain:

1. Ice for 20 minutes several times a day.

2. A "tennis elbow strap" around the arm to keep the tendons from moving around quite so much.

3. An ergonomic keyboard.

4. A desk at the right height.

5. A trackball instead of a mouse.

6. Stretching.

I did have some cortisone shots which helped for a bit, but as I say, mine was too far gone.

Best of luck!

Ouch. My sympathies - it is quite painful, but hopefully caught in time. I've already altered my typing position to take my elbow off the desk.
