I struggle with Thanksgiving. I was discussing this down the pub last night with a friend who also wasn't born here. Christmas is my big childhood turkey fest. I just don't feel anything towards Thanksgiving. I've a lot of work to do, the business needs clients to make some decisions and the decision making process ground to a halt last week and probably won't start again until Monday.
The window for closing new business is pretty narrow between now and the end of the year. I might be able to scare something cash generating up from some people, but we've a pretty nasty cashflow crunch in early December. Having said that, Q1 2013 is looking like a record breaker. I just need to scare up some money in the meantime. I have some options for that, but one of them is pretty expensive.
Apart from the cashflow crunch, we've had a great run through the summer and we've delivered some great work. I'm really happy with some of the stuff we've done and it's looking good. We're still hurting from a customer going under owing us $10,000 and that's really tough to handle, especially when they actually had the money to pay us and didn't.
