Thank you fellow residents....
Nov. 7th, 2012 08:57 amOn the first Tuesday of November 2004 I landed at SeaTac at 4:30, got into my rental car, and by 5:30 was showering in my hotel ready to go out and watch the election. The exit polls were suggesting John Kerry would win.
He didn't.
Last night my faith was restored.
There are so many things about last night that have a warm glow on me and it's not just my hangover...
1. Maths works - the polls were right, Nate Silver, Sam Wang and Daryl Holman were spot on
2. Running against a person isn't a way to win an election nor run a government
3. Watching Karl Rove melt down on Fox over Ohio will warm the cockles of my heart for many years
4. If this is true about Romney's regrets over his Benghazi response then the US dodged a bullet
5. Joe 'You Lie' Walsh lost
6. Seeing two men with utter disregard for women lost too
Michelle Bachman did win, so I can't have everything...
He didn't.
