We've had less than a tenth of an inch of rain (that's 2mm to the rest of planet Earth) in the last 60+ days. It continues to be disturbingly sunny and warm, exhibit for the prosecution being the fact that today is the first day of October and I just walked the dogs for an hour whilst wearing shorts and a polo shirt and stopped to sit in the garden of my favourite bar for a cold beer without a) growing gills and b) dying of exposure.
While I know it is gong to come to an end at some point in the next 2-3 weeks, the long range forecast has day time temps in the 20s and sunny through the next 10 days. It's been nice. After 2 winters with a heavy El Nino (cold Pacific = WET and COLD Pac NW) this is rather odd and a welcome change. Currently the meteorologists are looking at the stats and thinking that we might be out of that pattern. Fingers crossed.
Anyway, I would like to see more of this.
