Stuff... the dog days of summer
Aug. 20th, 2012 09:09 amEven in America people slow down through August, and it's kinda frustrating to sit on a pile of business deals that you know aren't going to move a jot before early September. OTOH - I have a wedding in Portland at the weekend and the weekend after that I have a convention in Chicago.
I'm hoping to meet a prospective client in Chicago, and between doing the App and speaking at a panel on the future of Mobile, I think I can comfortably say the trip is tax deductable.
Anyway, by the end of this week we'll have all our work backlog from the summer cleared and we can start looking at core product work for a few weeks - we've a bunch of features we want to get implemented asap including - more non-English Social Networks, and a geography based rules switching system.
I've also got to identify the next piece of project work we can do for a large local customer who've basically said for us to make proposals as long as they stay around $25K a piece.
