My New Conspiracy Theory
Feb. 17th, 2012 02:55 pmThe people who actually run the GOP have decided the following:
1) The economy is still horrific, winning in 2012 might well be a Pyrrhic victory like John Major's one in 1992
2) 2016 will be a clean election, Biden won't run therefore it will be better
3) If they run a moderate and they lose, then the party will probably tilt even more batshit than it is now
Therefore, they have decided that Rick Santorum should be candidate and that, by extension if you're going to lose, have something to point at that says, hard right doesn't work.
It is the ONLY reason I can think of for the current Cluster Fuck on Contraception.
Hell, even Michael Steele is on TV saying this is fucked up.
