Business Update
Oct. 7th, 2011 10:57 amIt's been a mad few weeks. We finally got our service broker working properly a couple of weeks ago - only a few months later than planned, but now we have working demos (here's a nice video, enjoy - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ww8u6sbDjGM&feature=youtube_gdata)
Interestingly, having this working demo is having a pretty amazing effect on things. We've got a lot of direct interest from large companies over the last few weeks - which are moving far more rapidly than we expected. Additionally we've got a pretty full order book of apps using our technology which we're being paid for over the next 3 months - which *should* cover the end of year taxes, payroll and everything else.
On top of that we've been invited to take part in a developer event in London this month, where we're developing an app to help Blood Centers contact donors. We've already got some interest from our local Blood Center and we've started cutting code. There's a lot to do between now and the 25th, but there's a 50K Euro prize on offer, so we can't afford to miss that.
Finally, we've put in place a couple of extra partnerships which aren't directly aligned with our business but either give us a revenue share of somebody elses or shares in another, frankly quite cool, startup.
Lots going on, but I'll admit it's a lot of fun at the moment, and just what I signed up for when we decided to do this.
Sadly, today, I really need to knuckle down on the paperwork so I can finally hire the bookeeper we selected 6 months ago but never started.
