Random Updates...
Jul. 4th, 2010 03:22 pmA lot of randomness at the moment, but never mind.
Technically Viafo is 1 this weekend, as we pretty much decided to make this happen drinking beer over the July 4th weekend last year. It's been a roller coaster. Anyway, we're hard at work delivering our second customer project, and now we're looking at the next ones. We've actually got a handle on the business now and hope to be making some public statements about some new stuff shortly.
Spent most of the week down in San Diego at the Uplinq conference hosted by Qualcomm. It was a pretty good event, we did a lot of good business and the partying was like 2006 all over again. The quality of parties at events has been reducing over the years but they really pushed the boat out. They closed off a section of the Gas Lamp district, providing live music, entertainment, food and drink. Not bad.
This weekend I'm working on some work stuff before heading to a BBQ later with friends, although this really isn't a holiday that means a lot to us.
Friday night was video night with Hot Tub Time Machine making the list - actually rather fun.
Saturday we walked to Belltown and back to see Twilight: Eclipse at the big picture where they provide alcohol. It was a vast improvement over New Moon - although the parts set in "Seattle" were just awful. At one point I got a ripple of laughter when they showed the Monorail going through a piece of post-industrial wasteland where the Vampires lived.
For the record the Seattle Monorail goes from downtown to near downtown, passing along a residential street.
Today we're mostly relaxing with shit movies. In the Name of the King is making Krull look like fine art.
