Mar. 8th, 2010 01:00 pmSo we've gone from wearing shorts while walking dogs to freezing nuts off in a couple of days. Yay.
The dogs had a good time of it though, with a serious bit of swimming at Marymoor Park. The little one was as manic around water as ever but still has a second coat to grow and consequently had to be dragged shivering out of the water, crying at the cold and protesting at being taken away from the weird ground you could float in.
After that I had a few hours of beer drinking and cheering at Rat City Roller Girls where, apparently they had a world record attendance of over 5000 - go Rat City. It was the usual mad fun and I think I'll be signing up for the April 10 bout. In the evening we had to pop into the Bottleneck Lounge and have a drink for their 3rd anniversary.
Sunday was a lounge around and so little got done. We did watch the Oscars, I also baked bread for the first time ever. The bread was a little under cooked which was entirely my fault but the taste and, for the cooked bits, the texture, was spot on. I might be doing that again.
The Oscars were... well, ok. I'm glad The Hurt Locker creamed Avatar. It's a significantly better movie.
