I'm trying to think of something that redeems this show...

Er...

No, I really can't.

Not least of which was the central McGuffin, which I include here to spoil it completely for everybody because YOU SHOULDN'T WATCH IT!

The emergency brakes on the "high speed", "bullet" train (ignoring it's going at a paltry 210mph) get pulled.  This apparently burns them out and doesn't stop the train.  AND NOBODY NOTICES!

Words fucking fail me, they really do.  With Tricia Helfer's "engineer" pouting and saying that the are no faults on the train, even though the braking system doesn't appear to work.

Oh yeah, while we're at it, any show that makes Tricia Helfer look that dowdy and inept deserves not to make it through to mid-season.

I will end my rant now.  BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD show.

So I didn't like Human Target and I tried watching Castle.

Castle is fluff.  I like Nathan Fillion, I like the cop, I like the interplay.  It's well made, well crafted fluff.  It's a Murder She Wrote for the Naughties.

Apart from last night, which was a steaming pile of poop too.

I should know that when there's an Oirish criminal gang involved I should reach for the damn remote and turn it off.  Apart from the one Brit (raised in Scotland) the accents the rest of the "Oirish" cast had were almost comical.
