Networking Update

Well, here I am back online and I can confirm a solid 3.4MB/sec between the downstairs and the upstairs, which is a vast improvement.  So a DVD file probably should take less than an hour now rather than 4+.

There are some problems such as every time I tweak a setting it curls up toes and dies and when I try and use the AP function it fails.  But generally it is a vast vast improvement.  Now I just need to get everything working properly.

Free Stuff

Obviously a little Seattle centric.

I've got to get rid of:

• 17" Flat Screen Monitor.  Couple of dead cells but otherwise perfectly serviceable
• 2 10/100 MB desktop switches

Unexpected Consequences

My internet speed to my main PC has doubled with the new networking links.  Excellent.
