Too Hard

So the company are having a sales event in Palma in June.  This was selected for, as far as I can tell, its proximity to Sunlight which is important to Swedes.  I say this because getting there from Seattle is proving to me more than a little tricky.

The only direct flight from LHR to Palma a day leaves 25 minutes BEFORE the only direct fight from SEA lands.  So, option B is to fly to Madrid and change, OR, Option C, change to another London Airport.

There are 2 sensible options for me then.  Either a 3pm flight from Luton or a 6pm from Gatwick.  Landing at LHR at 11:45 and departing Luton at 15:45 sounds impractical to me, even if I get a car to handle the transfer.

So it looks like I'll have to get a car to Gatwick and hang around for a few hours.  There are worse things, I just can't think of any at the moment.

So door to door this little jaunt is going to take me something like 21 hours.  Fun.
