1. Life Insurance: Our broker suggested we needed more cover.  Cue lengthy and annoying medical history phone call.  Really annoying physical at which my White Coat effect really kicked in giving the highest BP in 12 months.  Now they're chasing me because I don't seem to have any medical records.  "What do you mean that you have only been to the doctor once?" - well, I have. I haven't been ill.  I had my bloody pressure checked regularly last year and its been normal without medication so I haven't been to the doctor.  What more do you want???

They're going to get back to me about it, the broker says this is pretty common and not to worry but its annoying.

2. Re-Mortgage Part 347.  Still no mortgage.  C&G dropped the original solicitor and never really explained why.  New solicitor is now working on the case but it has to be complete by May 12th or I lose the deal.  FFS.  I suspect C&G are doing this on purpose.

3. Dog.  Sick.  Viral Palps inside mouth.  Can't do anything, will get worse before they get better.  Poor dog. :(

I took my new (to me) crap car to my local mechanic to have him look at the knocking in the steering.  "Yes, the 2 of the tie-rods in the front steering are pretty worn and should be replaced. But...  I'd just drive it."

"Ok, how about the transmission fluid?"

"Nasty color, should be Red."

"But?"

"If I change it, I might break old transmission.  I'd just drive it."

"So what you're saying is I should just drive it until something actually breaks?"

"If that was my car, yes."

Fair enough.  A little strange, but fair enough.

I will not make my dog chase his tail purely for my amusement.
