Wrong Week yer buggers

Month's ago I booked a return flight to the UK to have me in the country for Orbital.  I've just been asked to be in the UK for a meeting the PREVIOUS week.  Bumholes and Bugger that's not fair.  I can't justify an extra week in the UK and I don't really want to be away from M for that long for what would be a pure jolly.

*sigh*

So, no Eastercon for me :(

I am going to Vegas for CTIA but believe me, that's not something to look forward to.

You know, I moved to stop flying like this.  On current form 2008 is going to be a personal record,  I still have to get to Cheng Du and Japan before the end of July.

Finally, we may be moving back to the Bay Area.  Our discussions with one of my clients to open an office with them are progressing and, interestingly, the office may be where we used to live.  Part of my would like to go back to our old apartment (bottom of the page) but it was a long way off the beaten track and I am getting tired of apartment living.  Interestingly, according to the apartment website, the price has come down over $500 a month from what we paid in 2001!

BA, you must be having a laff!

So while M languishes in the ginormous tub in our weekend retreat room and I sit in a comfy chair by the fire drinking beer, I have been sorting out some travel.

I just had to use my precious air miles just to travel in semi-comfort in World Traveller Plus because BA wanted, get this, $5000 for World Traveler Plus tickets...  bloody hell in a hand baskey, WTF?

Fortunately I am well endowed in the miles space and was able to book Coach and upgrade to Coach Plus.  Still, I would rather have booked and upgraded to business.  It also screws up some other things, but bleedin' hell.

Angry now.

At least the person who changed my flights to March 10 was pretty switched on and helpful and manually entered some missing miles for me, which was nice.
