Planes and Boats
Aug. 5th, 2007 06:13 pmAs part of the SeaFair, the Blue Angels (a USian version of the Red Arrows) does an exhibition over Lake Washington. Some friends of Ms took us out on the schnooer Mallory Todd to watch this from the middle of the Lake, and rather special it was too. Much was drunk, many bad photos were taken and generally a good time was had by all.
Today (Sunday) - M and I decided to walk to Ballard. A mere 4.5 miles, we started out well intentioned, but then detoured over the top of Queen Anne hill and by the time we'd got back to the bridge to Ballard we were thinking of buses. So we took the bus there, had lunch, pottered around the market and then got the bus back.
Unfortunately we got off at the wrong stop because neither of us had paid any attention and had another 2 miles to walk home.
In all, I think we walked about 6 miles this afternoon. I feel that I don't need exercise today.
