Vegas Blues
May. 2nd, 2007 11:10 amBeen here since Friday - that is a mistake. Staying up until dawn, also a mistake. Drinking too much every night for 4 days, HUUUGGEEE mistake.
Going to bed at 10pm last night after the show closed. Lovely.
Played some Poker. Lost $100 remembering how to play on Monday night. Tuesday ended up evens after spending 4 hours playing. Lost 2 hands badly but then had two really really good wins. Finished on a high. Had Pocket Eights on the big blind. Nobody raised so I got to see the flop for free. The flop was 4,5,8 - so 3 eights, not bad - one guy left in to bet. Turn and River give us a 5 and 6. He's obviously got a straight, he thinks I'm either on a straight too or bluffing. So he goes up to the limit (this is Limit Hold 'em) and calls me. He's miffed when the Full house appears. Never mind.
The problem was getting to bed at 4am when you have to be up and working at 9am.
No hot water this morning. V angry.
