Visa

I have a US visa.

We turned up at the embassy bright and early, which was good, because if we'd turned up at 9.30 when our appointment time was set we'd still be there now.  As it was, we were in and hour in about 90 minutes, which was good.

Another tick in the box.

The Timetable...

Some people have asked me about our timetable for the move (especially now we have the Visas).

This week we're mostly trucking around the UK doing various things.
 - Wednesday heading over to Bath and then in Chippenham with friends overnight
 - Thursday up to Manchester for work and also a meeting with our tax accountants about moving to the US, then a night out with friends WINILJ in the happening hamlet of Mellor where Terminus, Warrior's Gate, Chimeria, BUGS and other scribblings author Steve Gallagher will be buying me a beer in his local
 - Friday, staying in North West for a curry and then back on Saturday

Bits and bobs around the house on the weekend.

 - Monday, we'll mostly be inventory taking of the storage locker in preparation for shipping
 - Through the week we'll be finishing the packing up of the flat and packing/boxing up clothes for shipping

Weekend: completing checks on the packing and hopefully relaxing:

 - Monday 22: Morning - freight company taking stuff out of storage to ship; we've carpet and furniture cleaning happening, and we've also got our cleaner coming
 - Monday 22: PM - we're flying at 5pm

 - Tuesday 23: AM - first thing we're sorting out our bank then going to finalise the lease and move in, then also hopefully our new TV will be delivered

Basically the aim by Tuesday night is to be moved in.

At the weekend I'll probably host some of the engineers.  And, at some stage, we'll have a flat warming party of some kind.
