So this is Christmas...

Been a busy year and no mistake gov'nor.

We've managed to buy somewhere to live and will finish the year having paid off all non-mortgage debt, which has been tough, but helped by bagging the largest deal of my career so far. It's not often you can close a $15M services deal but it has been quite stressful.

We're also on the verge of moving again. The flat is looking "showhome-esque" as we prepare for renting out. We actually had some keen people around this morning which was ok, because I had to be up at 9am to stand a chance of getting a tax disk this side of the end of the month.

I've flown a lot. I've not done the numbers yet, I will, however, the basic tally is pretty much:
Round the World Trips: 1
Transatlantic Flights: 16
Other Long Haul: 2
European Short Haul: 10
US Domestic: 5

Countries visited in 2006: France, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Dubai/UAE, South Africa, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Japan (1st trip), USA and Greece.

I've spent the equivalent of several months in Seattle this year, so M and I are ready for the Move. We have a place to live, we have furniture, we have a TV, we need to buy a car, but that can wait.

It's going to be a strange experience, but, naturally, you're all welcome to visit. Especially those of you who already live in Seattle! Some of whom seem to think I moved in the summer ;)

Anyway, have a Merry Holiday, however you celebrate. For me, this is Christmas, even if I don't believe anymore...
