The Ton, and other stories...
Nov. 2nd, 2006 08:55 amFinally managed to juggle diaries so I can make my 3rd London meeting of the year! YAY! Probably won't be drinking but that shouldn't be an issue, and I'm not sure how late I'll be staying. I've probably got to drive to Winchester tomorrow to do visa related stuff with the admin team in Winchester.
I've got a meeting for a side project I'm thinking about kicking off with some friends who run a small IT house in London. So we're going to do coffee at 3.30 around Charing X Road - then I'll probably walk over to Holborn.
This morning I'm mostly going to be working on a sales strategy document for the new business unit which is hardly fun, especially given this will be more of a wish list rather than an actual policy statement. Still, at least it will be a stake in the ground.
Had to assist in some English-Swedish translation yesterday, apparently "dismayed" is a difficult word to translate and has no direct comparison. Interesting.

Saturday I'm actually doing a birthday day for M. As were apart for the actual event I've planned a rather special day for her. We're getting up and having brunch near Victoria, then the matinee of Wicked at the Apollo. Then over to the West End where we're checking into the St Martin's Lane hotel - which she's always wanted to stay and then, after cocktails in their trendy, and I assume frighteningly expensive bar, I'm taking her to Bar Shu for dinner, which is an amazing Sichuan restaurant in Soho.
Then home on Sunday.
