I would just like to say...

I love my wife. :)

She's booked tickets for Spamalot when we're in New York, and she's booked us to go to a Lobster place where they're having a Lobster festival. Mmmmmm...

Today is not the day...

Naughty...

I've been spending money, although, to be fair, I think the company will let me expense this one.  I've played with them in Seattle

Qtek 8500 Smartphone (Black) - eXpansys UK Limited

It's fractionally larger than a Razor and does all the normal Smartphone stuff.  I'm also waiting for one of these to come into stock with Orange, who have promised me an upgrade.  The "Star Trek" as the 8500 is also known is one of the first MS phones I've handled which I'd consider using as a phone phone, rather than something to keep for when I'm visiting Redmond.

Garuda Assessment Tests

Does anybody here have any knowledge/experience of these? As the first part of the formal promotion process I'm being put through they want to run these, followed by 3 rounds of interviews, one with an external head hunting firm, and the final one with the new CEO.

I've now got a revised job description which would put my grade in the company as equal to any of the divisional heads and one down from the corporate VPs, so they're keen to go through a formal process. I must admit it is a little daunting, given I've been doing the job for 3 years, but also a move towards professionalism that is way over due.
