An Update...
May. 23rd, 2006 03:21 pmWell, back from holiday - it was grand, although, as is wont with these things, we found the REALLY good tavernas on the last day. I'm not sure I'd recommend it for a long holiday, but as a bsae to explore or a weekend break, it is excellent. (Thesonaliki that is).
Had quite a lot of stuff to do when we got back, including a pile of work to start shuffling through. We're in the final stages of closing the deal I've been working on, which is actually becomming a little dull as we spend hours working through a contract document arguing over minor terms and phrases. It's dull, but believe me, you don't want to get this stuff wrong.
There was a point yesterday where it looked like I'd be sitting on a 747 en route to Seattle by now. But that passed and I think we can do everything by phone.
For the bank holiday, we're probably heading North up to Preston to catch up with a bunch of friends, both Fannish and Non-Fannish and maybe London for drinks on Friday. Anybody fancy a cocktail, I think I can manage to be in town in the late afternoon once we've put the contract to bed.
I *might* even be buying.
