Homeward Bound...
May. 11th, 2006 11:37 pmI am so glad to be on my way home. I played a little more Poker last night, winning back a chunk of the money I lost 2 nights ago. I'm a little more confident about playing, but frankly, fun as it was, I don't really like playing with lots of money. Interesting though.
Woke up, however, with the stomach bug that's hit half the people in our group, I am certainly not looking forward to the flight home.
So, breaking all the rules by leaving The Venetian late, I actually had a hassle free check in at Vegas, and, most shockingly, virtually no security queue. A word of warning, this place is a zoo, so leave a lot of time to get to your flight. Another problem with Vegas is the wind patterns around the airport. Typically it's a rough take off, and rather disconcerting as you head out over the desert and see the ground alternately dropping away and then suddenly appearing really rather too close while the plane bounces up and down.
Anyways, LAX next stop - sadly I've 4 hours there which will not be remotely pleasant. The lounge is a joke.
Off to Greece on Saturday, which I am really looking forward to.
