Typical Travel Blah..
May. 3rd, 2006 02:01 pmOk(ish) flight, with a surprisingly easy change at LAX, even immigration was fast. LAX is one of the worst airports in the world, there is the cool space ship like structure in the middle but that's about it for interesting things. Got some much needed exercise walking around to Terminal 1 where my onward connection was. Barely noticed the hop to Vegas thanks mostly to noise cancelling headphones, my iPod and a Val McDermond mystery.
Got to the Luxor, had room service and slept - awaking at 2,3 and 4 as expected. Finally left the room about the time of my wake up call and headed back to Las Vegas Airport, where, at least they have free WiFi.
Just waiting to board the flight up to Sea-Tac. The good news; I'm flying First. The bad news; US internal First Class sucks.
Three days of rather intense negotiation ahead - we might be able to do a press release next week. Assuming, that is, we're actually still on speaking terms with MS.
I'm also strangely having a reasonable cup of Starbucks coffee... there must be something wrong with the fabric of reality. Perhaps those geezers in Doctor Who suceeded after all? ;)
