Mostly the day off...
Mar. 4th, 2006 05:13 pmMeeting got cancelled and rescheduled, so I found myself with the afternoon off. Bought some clothes, bought some books.
Managed to read two of the books.
Spin and The Family Trade.
I'll post thoughts on them later. Spin was excellent, Family Trade was enjoyable but some of the dialog was a little clunky.
Currently reading The Atrocity Archive - which also has clunky sections and a few too many "gee whiz this is fun" bits of writing which seem to be more for the author than the reader but, generally speaking, it isn't bad at all. I'll certainly look forward to Charlie's next installments as, if Iron Sunrise is anything to go by, he is getting much tighter in his narratives.
