Blue Arsed Fly Mode
Dec. 2nd, 2005 11:41 amBack from Seattle at 12 - Con Call at 2, Surveyor at 3, mortgage broker at 4, dinner with wife at 7, ton at 8, bed at 10.
Ugh...
So, there's a "slight" problem with the mortgage application. Apparently I missed a credit card payment in 2004 and 2 in 2003 and the Bristol and West want to know why. As I said to the Mortgage broker, I didn't even _know_ that I had done so. It was almost certainly travel related. It's a moot point now as I owe precisely £0.00 on credit cards, although, to be fair, I did miss a Visa payment 2 months ago because the NatWest online system wouldn't let me pay the bloody bill! They did refund the late payment charge and apologise to me.
Anyway, the broker says it isn't an issue, as if the Bristol and West continue to be anal he's already checked several other lenders who don't care. So that looks like it's moving.
Got a solicitor's quote. It was a lot, but they included the Stamp Duty - ugh!
On the subject of credit cards I've just been doing my online banking, as I'm back in the UK and able to think and see that NatWest have stung me £20 for "late payment" on a balance of £30 where I have been 1 day late.
EDIT: So they are refunding the fee. Still, it rankles.
For F**ks sake.
