I managed to get my new phone (a Sony Ericsson P910i)[*] working properly with my laptop though and all sync'd up.

Unfortunately I'd also spent the last few days moving the 1000 odd "important" emails from my inbox into various Tasks which I mistakenly sync'd to the phone.

Ugh... Come 8am this morning a bunch of them went mad.

I have now turned off that setting.

[*] - It is a long an tortured story about why I am currently using a Symbian/UIQ phone and not a Microsoft one.

As part of the process of house hunting I wanted to confirm that the Mortgage would be ok. If we're serious I wanted to have a mortgage sorted before we actually put an offer in.

We've looked at 3 options. My bank told me to look elsewhere. Not because they would not lend me the money, but because they were pretty sure they wouldn't be competative. Go figure, an honest bank???? There's also a mortgage service at Ms place of work who we have asked for offers. However, for the third option, a co-worker of M suggested a company he used who fixed him up with a good deal even though, at the time he was a contractor.

One 5 minute phone call and I have an outline mortgage offer for a quarter of a million quid.

Now we need a place to buy.

*gulp*

We're going to take advantage of the Foxton's house hunting service, and perhaps look at the Ealing area which is looking to offer the best mixture of price and transport links.

I have tooth ache.

I've known there was a problem for a week or so, but as I had an appointment booked for tomorrow it didn't seem necessary to push it. My guess is a dodgy old filling, of which I have several, has rotted from underneath and has led to a cavity on the outside edge of my rear most molar.

The nagging feeling is starting to turn into a nasty _this could be expensive_ throb. Hopefully not a root canal anyway...

I see a future where the Vicodin the US dentist gave me last time I had this sort of thing happen, may be used.

Hmmm... ok, so the pain is definately gone - except for very occasional twinges and my oh my I feel happy.

I can see why they don't like giving this stuff out too frequently.

I think a hot drink and then away to bed and a slightly fluffy sleep.

I dread to think what the Dentist is going to do/say/cost tomorrow.
