So, after the little travel "issue" yesterday, my boss told me to upgrade my return leg home to World Traveller Plus. Which is nice. Just booking it with a highly confused booking agent.

"Sir, did you fly Club yesterday?"
"No, I turned down the upgrade?"
"Umm? Sorry?"

Anyway, booked in World Traveller Plus for the way home, which is nice. Interestingly, looking at the "earning tier points with partners" part of the BA website (Tier points being BAs evil system for ensuring that no matter how far you fly, if you buy cheap tickets you are screwed) - in theory, if the flights really are full fare flexible tickets I could earn enough points on this trip to get to Gold Status by the time I land in London.

That would be... well... super really.

Read Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince... umm... felt she was treading water frankly and I have a strong suspicion that some of the BIG shocks are red herrings. Nothing certain to base that on except I am seeing something of a pattern.

Much too long too, but it gave me something to do on the plane.

In the last few weeks I have read:
The Caine Mutiny Hermon Wouk - Excellent, much better than I expected
All Fun and Games Until Somebody Loses an Eye, Christopher Brookmyre - slow to start but the usual gory fun from Brookmyre - much better than his last one
Stormbreaker, Alex Horowitz - not bad for a kids book
A bunch of Dr Who novelisations - some of the ok, some of them brain bleedingly bad
