You should vote: Liberal Democrat
The LibDems take a strong stand against tax cuts and a strong one in favour of public services: they would make long-term residential care for the elderly free across the UK, and scrap university tuition fees. They are in favour of a ban on smoking in public places, but would relax laws on cannabis. They propose to change vehicle taxation to be based on usage rather than ownership.

Historically my family come from a long line of "working class" Tories. My mother is a Conservative Country and Borough Council Member and will be a Tory Town Mayor this year (the type with a chain not with any power). When I were a mere lad I was probably something of a Tory boy, I'll claim some kind of defense as being a product of my environment.
However, life moves on. I do earn quite a lot and this year will probably earn enough that the new Lib-Dem tax proposals would hit me, something I find astounding. The reality is that when you earn that much you can probably afford the tax, but I remember the time when I couldn't. It might not make much difference but I'd like to see income tax removed from pretty much anybody earning under 12K or so because, frankly, why bother? I pay more income tax a month now than I actually earned when I was on 12K. That's the injustice, not me paying 40+% of what I make.
The government has a duty of care to make good use of it, which I don't think they do. But compared to the US I think we actually get stonking value for money.
I'll be voting Lib-Dem, which here in Bath is not a wasted vote. I hope that the Labour majority will slashed down to reality. Large majorities just don't work for the UK,
