But this sort of thing never happens to me...
I went to the O2 shop today to upgrade one of our phones. We were looking at a free upgrade, right up until the lady entered my account details and said, "oh, look at this, you can have up to £120 off *any* phone."
Any? I pointed at the XDAII at £179.99 - yes, she said.
Fine, a PDA phone for £60? I'll have it.
She then rang it up at the till, "oh, the till says £249.99..." She went off to check the signs again and speak to the manager.
It looked like the price went up in August and they hadn't changed the signs. However, as I had agreed to buy at the advertised price - that's what they sold it for.
Yay! New toy.
