A Surprising Week...
Mar. 22nd, 2004 09:58 amA fantastically busy week.
Wednesday: St Patrick's Night. Enough said.
Thursday: Took the day off. Drove my visiting USian friend Jay over to Avebury for some rocks. Interesting place, not quite what I was expecting, but certainly different to Stonehenge. In the afternoon we went for English Afternoon Tea at the Bridge Tea Shop on Bradford Upon Avon - simply stunning. Then drinks in a not so traditional pub and then the Little Green Tree, which is traditional, and then a curry.
Friday: Closed a deal I've been working on since Christmas! Yayness!!!
Saturday: Did the gym thing (didn't stretch properly afterwards which was silly and now I ache), watched The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Oh dear, oh deary me.
Sunday: Went to London for "Tea" with a customer and his wife who were on vacation and passing through the UK. Then we had cocktails in the West End and then dinner at a Moroccan restaurant which was rather nice actually. Late train home, and bed.
Read a book: The Footprints of God by Greg Ells - more on that later.
