Life eh? Questions for my Friends...
Mar. 16th, 2004 04:23 pmLife at the moment has its ups and downs - a little bipolar in fact but here's some thoughts, questions and highlights...
1. Quality Systems - could somebody explain to my employers that a quality system is meant to provide a standard way of doing things that improves quality. It does not mean a set of forms you must fill in exactly the same every time even when they don't work?
2. Beer - tomorrow is St Patricks and while I am working during the day, I have Thursday off and intend tomorrow night to show an American friend who is staying the high lights of Bath and partake of the Black stuff in copious amounts. Not sure where though... O'Neills is cheesy, Flan O'Briens just became a gay pub called "Does Your Mother Know?" and the Irish bar in Larkhill is meant to be good but its a long way away when you've been drinking. Perhaps I'll stay local at the GPT? What do people think :)
3. Haven't flown anywhere for weeks now - phew. Managed to not have to be in Korea on Thursday which is a result. Next trip lasts until Easter Monday (damn airlines and their booking computers, damn Americans and their working on Good Friday) - means I'll miss Eastercon. Wasn't really planning on going, but it was a possibility. What other Cons should I do this year??? (assuming I don't move to Seattle, and then maybe suggestions...)
4. I managed to repair my failing Ipaq which was cool.
5. I've changed my email address but have not had a new notification from LJ - what is happening???????
