I understand it's £8k normally, £4k for the cheap two-way offer, and £2k for the cheap one-way offer. How much of that Dave's firm paid for, we shall discover.

I've paid for it all. It's not practical to combine it with Seattle, NYC and Seattle not being all that close!

But including taxes and so forth its a tidy £2200 (ouch) - I decided that if I was spending that much I may as well fly premium economy.

I'd LOVE to go - or have gone - but I'm not in Whitby in part 'cos it would cost me a couple of hundred pounds, and I can't afford that.

Given I just cleared my credit cards, it is pretty silly of me. But M and I were, oddly talking about this last night, and as she said, its something important to me.

I don't think there will be another Supersonic passenger vehicle, and I'm not convinced that Space Tourism will be at an affordable price in my life time so this may be as close as I get.

Plus I get 5 days in New York to visit friends.
