daveonAuthor Chris Gerrib writes an excellent piece comparing two Hugo nominated Short Stories in terms of how they approach the nature of the story and then tell it.
Having read one of the stories and bounced, hard, off the other one (for many of the reasons he points out) I'm in full agreement.
