You do not get to complain that somebody is thin skinned because you don't think stuff directed at them and their family is abuse when you're arguing for zero tolerance in providing safety for people in public spaces.

Twitter search is complete and utter shite.  If you think you can search for things and get any real idea of what happened or what was sent/deleted/mis-read and the rest of it then you're a bloody fool or looking for a fight.

It's not about you... redux...

Somebody asked, "I keep wondering why anybody cares what SF/F thinks, people will continue to read and buy and watch SF whatever..."

SF/F doesn't care about you, it doesn't care about formal 'fandom', it doesn't really care about Hugos, Conventions or Fan Feuds.  It doesn't really know we exist except as a small line item on their corporate entertainment expenses.  SF&F will go on perfectly happily without another worldcon ever being held.
