Nov. 12th, 2013 08:21 amThe logistics of starting up are challenging at the moment - lots of moving parts. Working on closing lead customers, working on bugs as they emerge, starting the process of raising more funding.
The fund raising seems to be progressing. It's interesting having something that is relatively 'easy' to pitch and the response we've been getting from VCs has been encouraging. We had a meeting yesterday where they'd set very low expectations which led to a move forward to start technical due-diligence. While that's not a yes, it's a big step forward from the usual stalling tactics.
On the home front things have been complex, we're juggling finance at the moment to keep the lights on while we get the new company up and running. One of M's work friends is very sick. Baryatric surgery with complications has her fighting for her life in ICU which isn't good. M had her own hernia surgery at the same time and while she's recovering well, it's still painful.
