Dec. 20th, 2012 02:40 pmI've been re-watching... and realising that I honestly saw virtually none of this first time around. That said, I'm now into series 4 where people tell me it gets better. It has.
However, given how low the bar was in seasons 1 through 3 this isn't necessarily a good sign.
So far Season 4 is improved but generally speaking I'm not really enjoying this very much. I'm also coming to the conclusion that the ONLY character, and for that matter, species I find remotely plausible and logical in the way they operate their society and interact with everybody elses are the Fergengi. In fact Quark is pretty much the only character I have any interest in at all. He's certainly the only one that seems to understand what's going on at any given time.
Another thing that's bugging me (apart from the entire command staff buggering off whenever they like) is the weird way they handle the passage of time. When a character goes off on a story, it's astounding that time doesn't seem to progress in the rest of the universe. It's starting to really get on my nerves
Oh and the space biker klingons really drive me nuts.
